Apple recalls 28,000 PowerBook batteries
Apple is recalling 28,000 laptop batteries for their 15-inch PowerBook because of problems with them overheating and
possibly catching on fire. The batteries, which are only found in PowerBooks sold since this past January, were
originally made by LG and so far have not resulted in any injuries.

As a note, I got my Powerbook in June, and I am not affected.

Didn't they have a problem with Verizon LG phones also overheating and catching on fire?

"and so far have not resulted in any injuries."
...which is not to say that they haven't caught on fire. Damn, that's funny.

A guy on Slashdot posted links to pictures (http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=118564&cid=10018784). Not funny at all, in my opinion.

Really.. spontaneous laptop combustion that doesn't result in injury is amusing!
You obviously don't do enough overclocking :)

Wasn't there a recall of PowerBooks for lousy battery life sometime back. The more things change....

Wouldn't a baked APPLE be the same thing as a baked LEMON?
