I once replaced a seatbelt mechanism in an old '81 Corolla, but the replacement from the junkyard had the wrong color belt. After all was said and done, I managed to get the matching color belt in, but had extra parts. The belt still worked like a charm, but I tended to have people sit in the next seat over, you know, just in case....
